BEFORE THE PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION OF UTAH

            PacifiCorp, dba Utah Power, and the Division of Public Utilities (“Division”) jointly move the Commission for a protective order in the captioned proceeding. In support of the motion, PacifiCorp and the Division state:

            1. A protective order will expedite the production of documents and other information to assist the Division in evaluating the relevant facts and circumstances.

            2. A protective order would afford necessary protection of private financial information of participating entities and of commercially valuable, confidential, trade secret and business information.

            3. The attached proposed protective order is essentially the same form as protective orders issued by the Commission in prior dockets.

            4. PacifiCorp has assembled and is currently prepared to deliver to the Division substantial information that would be “confidential” under the terms of the order. The Division wishes to move forward as quickly as possible to review and evaluate the information in connection with its intent to draft a proposed rule in this docket.

            5. Accordingly, PacifiCorp and the Division seek expedited issuance of the attached protective order.

            Wherefore, PacifiCorp respectfully requests that the Commission enter an order as soon as practicable granting this joint motion and issuing the attached proposed protective order.
